Is tolerance always good? Is GOD Himself tolerant?

Watch this Running on Love with GOD program: “Is tolerance always good? Is GOD Himself tolerant?”
Most people know the proverb, “People who live in glass houses shouldn‘t throw stones.” This proverb is extremely wise and meant to teach us not to criticize others if we share similar weaknesses. However, everyone seems to be going about their lives as if they have no room for criticism within themselves. Those who are being publicly ridiculed are responding in kind. Is anyone capable of being tolerant?

Program Description: We are seeing educated and good people resorting to vicious name-calling when they disagree with someone or their identifiable group. This foul behavior has been deemed intolerant by many who find the barrage of inflammatory insults deeply repugnant. They often respond to this name-calling with evil speech themselves in their effort to defend their group or point of view. It’s becoming difficult to keep track of the insulting barbs being thrown around or know in any moment who is being more offensive. We all know that two wrongs never make it right. As the division grows and the hatred divides us all, we need to understand the concept of tolerance. Is tolerance always good? Is GOD Himself tolerant? The truth might be surprising to many.

On this program of Running on Love with GOD, we will explore tolerance. Many believe that GOD is all forgiving and always tolerant. Is this true? When we watch the media reports now we see threatening, vicious, and nasty language being used by people all over America and the world. This language is often accompanied by threats and is becoming frightening. This evil speech has the potential to incite violence against ordinary citizens. We see “trolling” which is a new and repugnant behavior borne through social media. The term troll according to Webster’s means “to antagonize (others) online by deliberately posting inflammatory, irrelevant, or offensive comments or other disruptive content.” While most will agree that a troll is the definition of a modern-day monster, unwittingly in any moment good decent people are becoming trolls themselves. They are accusing others of intolerance and using this as an excuse to become intolerant themselves. The result: Evil begets more evil and we are all spinning out of control. Watch this program of Running on Love with GOD as we discuss the source of this problem and the potential solutions.
