Israel doesn’t have one particular holiday called Thanksgiving or like Thanksgiving and the reason is that every day in Israel is Thanksgiving. It’s really true. The observant Jewish people of Israel recognize and thank God every day for everything. The Jewish people have blessings saying thank you for every sip of water, for every bite of fruit, for everything they put in their mouths—they say a blessing and thank you.
So no, Israel doesn’t have a holiday called Thanksgiving because every day, every moment of every day is thanksgiving.
On this Thanksgiving today in America, I want to send a message to my American friends and family and make them aware of the fact that today is a beautiful holiday. I have always loved Thanksgiving — my favorite American holiday of the whole entire year. On this Thanksgiving, make it a vow to yourself and your family that every day will be Thanksgiving. Every day, every minute of every day, thank God for everything. Because I assure you, He is real and He gives you everything. The air that you breathe wouldn’t be available if it were not for Him.
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you have a wonderful day and a wonderful holiday and I hope you carry the spirit of thanksgiving and love for God throughout the year. God bless you and may there be peace in our world in our time. God bless you.
